ZAVARKA BEAR - RUSSIAN TEA & COFFEE

Zavarka Bear - Russian Tea & Coffee is a conceptual tea and coffee food truck brand inspired by Russian culture and Zavarka tea drinking. There is a classic Russian saying that goes ,"Сидеть у самовара” meaning “a sit by the samovar”, which entails having company and a light meal accompanied by tea. The word “samovar”, which translates to self brewer, refers to a Russian metal brewer used to heat and boil water. This boiler is utilized to dilute zavarka, which is a strongly brewed tea concentrate usually served in a teapot. Guests are typically served a small portion of zavarka and help themselves to the samovar water to dilute their tea to their preferred tastes. Sitting by the samovar is known to be a bonding activity that turns casual meetings into meaningful social connections in which people can unwind, catch up, gossip and tell stories while enjoying a warm beverage.

Zavarka Bear - Russian Tea & Coffee Food Truck aims to showcase a warm, cozy, and welcoming environment for its patrons by communicating the traditional values and morals of Zarvaka Tea Culture through the graphic and typographic design choices. The main design elements of the branding utilize mainstream Russian cultural motifs such as the country’s national animal and flag colour palette and esoteric elements seen in traditional Russian folk and floral designs.

The final project encapsulates a holistic branding package ranging from: logo design, menu, sticker, web and Instagram assets, to physical branding applications that can be utilized on food packaging and the property/vehicular branding.

All elements of this project were completed using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
